Omega-3 fatty acids are primarily found in fish & are an important type of polyunsaturated fat that your body needs & cannot make on it’s own…  so you must get them from food.  Fortunately (for vegans), you dont have to eat fish to aquire this “good fat”!

The daily allowance is about 62 grams.  The following list of foods are examples of great ways to reach this number easily!

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 oz (about 22 pieces) roasted almonds
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1 oz (10 halves) walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp ground flaxseeds
